At Omnipro 3D, our passion for 3D technology isn't limited to the medical field. Through our expertise in 3D scanning and additive manufacturing, we have collaborated with cultural institutions to protect, reproduce, and share historical heritage in innovative ways. Recently, our E-HEALTH 3D division took part in a unique project: the extraction and display of the Tartessian faces found at Turuñuelo, now on exhibit at the National Archaeological Museum (MAN).

3D Technology to Preserve History
Handling archaeological pieces is an extremely delicate process. To ensure the Tartessian faces could be extracted and displayed without risk of damage, we applied a cutting-edge technological approach:3D Innovation Serving Archaeological Heritage
1. High-Precision 3D Scanning
Each piece was scanned using high-resolution three-dimensional capture equipment, producing exact digital models of the faces. These models made it possible to:
Analyze the geometry and fragility of each piece.
Plan the extraction safely.
Generate replicas for handling and display rehearsals.
2. Additive Manufacturing with Flexible Materials
Using 3D printing with flexible materials, we produced physical support copies that were identical in shape yet resistant to handling. These replicas:
Made it possible to extract the pieces without damaging the originals.
Were used to test their placement inside the museum's display cases.
Allowed the MAN's team to plan the exhibition with total confidence.
